The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired forward Mike Dunleavy from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the draft rights to forward Vladimir Veremeenko and forward Albert Miralles, the team announced Thursday.

Cleveland adds another 3-point marksman in Dunleavy (a career 37.6 percent shooter) to a roster that connected on the second-most 3-pointers from deep during the regular season (880).

Chicago needed to create cap room to sign All-Star guard Dwyane Wade to his reported two-year contract, which is why Dunleavy, along with veteran guard Jose Calderon, were shipped off.

Over the course of 176 games with the Bulls, Dunleavy averaged 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists, shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from behind the arc.

He played in just 31 games during the 2015-16 campaign due to a back injury.
