The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent point guard Brian Roberts for the veteran's minimum.

He will earn $1.05 million on a one-year contract.

Roberts spent time with both the Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers last season, averaging 4.0 points, 1.1 assists, and 0.8 rebounds on 44.8 percent shooting in 51 contests. The 30-year-old has averaged 7.0 points and 2.5 assists throughout his four-year career.

Roberts will serve as the Hornets' third-string point guard, behind Kemba Walker and the recently-signed Ramon Sessions.
