The Miami Heat's last chance to retain franchise player Dwyane Wade will come on Wednesday.

Wade is taking meetings in New York and his longtime employers will be the last to get an audience with the 12-time All-Star. The Heat will have team owner Micky Arison in attendance, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Arison shared an Instagram post overlooking New York City on Wednesday morning.

Arison brokered a reunion when Wade hit the market last season. There's a $10-million gap between what Wade wants and what Miami is offering and that could threaten to split up the 13-year marriage between marquee franchise and its best player.

Wade has a two-year, $50-million offer on the table from the Denver Nuggets, who he met for two hours on Wednesday morning. The 34-year-old guard will also meet with Marc Lasry, the co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Despite being past his prime, Wade put in a highly productive season with averages of 19 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists last season.
