Jazz's Shelvin Mack: Has final year of contract guaranteed

Mack had the final year of his contract guaranteed by the Jazz Tuesday, Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Mack will make $2.4 million in Utah next season now that the Jazz have decided to keep the point guard who started 27 games for them last year. The team now, however, has four point guards on their roster in George Hill, Dante Exum and Raul Neto on top of Mack. George Hill is the presumed starter after they acquired him in a trade with Indiana, while Mack and the other two will fight for minutes as a backup. This will likely leave Mack with very limited minutes off the bench over the 2016-17 season.
