Report: Teams aren't pursuing Nate Robinson due to his NFL interest

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

Nate Robinson remains an unsigned, unrestricted free agent, and a source told ESPN's Marc Spears that lack of interest in the undersized guard is partly due to Robinson's own interest in pursuing an NFL career.

Robinson's inability to stay on the court and his decreased production since suffering a torn ACL early in 2014 also can't help his cause.

The 32-year-old, 11-year veteran appeared in two games with the New Orleans Pelicans this past season. He's played in only 88 games over the last three years combined, averaging 7.9 points, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 rebounds on 39 percent shooting.

Robinson, who worked out for the Seattle Seahawks last month, has earned nearly $25 million in his NBA career, according to Basketball Reference.
