When Atlanta Hawks power forward Paul Millsap was on the trading block for a few hours Saturday, the Denver Nuggets had the Hawks biting on a potential swap for a package that included Kenneth Faried, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

The only reason Millsap was on the market was so the Hawks could attempt to clear cap space to re-sign Al Horford in the wake of the Dwight Howard addition. Once Horford joined the Boston Celtics, Millsap came off the block.

The report lends further credence to speculation that the Nuggets are actively shopping Faried. The Phoenix Suns also spoke with the Hawks regarding Millsap, according to Lowe.
