The New York Knicks remained one of the league's most active teams this offseason Monday, agreeing to a four-year deal with forward Lance Thomas worth roughly $27 million.

Thomas spent parts of the last two seasons with the Knicks. The 28-year-old appeared in 59 games last season, averaging 8.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes.

The Knicks will use the Early Bird Exception, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post, which allows them to sign Thomas for over the salary cap. It's believed he took a hometown discount to stay in New York.

It's been a whirlwind four days for the Knicks, who have added Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee, Brandon Jennings, and Thomas through free agency.
