The Sacramento Kings waived veteran Caron Butler and forward Duje Dukan, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Butler signed a two-year deal with an option last summer. He picked up the option June 21. The 16-year veteran was owed just over $1.5 million for next season.
At 36, it could be the end of the NBA line for Butler. He appeared in just 17 games for the Kings in 2015-16, averaging 3.7 points on a career-low 16.7 percent 3-point shooting. However, the Miami Heat may be interested in the swingman's services, sources told The Vertical. Butler began his career in Miami and played with the Heat from 2002-04.
Dukan only appeared in one contest for Sacramento.
