Luol Deng played just two seasons in South Beach, but even in a relatively short period of time, the city of Miami and the Heat organization left a lasting impression on the 31-year-old veteran.

In a recent post on his Instagram account, Deng thanked the franchise and its fan base for all they provided him during his productive stint.

In the summer of 2014, the two-time All-Star signed with the Heat to a two-year, $20-million contract, slotting into the starting small forward spot left vacant by a departing LeBron James.

He averaged 13.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists across 146 appearances with the Heat.

Deng will now take his talents to Staples Center next season on a reported four-year, $72-million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, which will pay him $8 million more per season than he was earning in Miami.
