Report: Kings, Temple agree to 3-year, $24M deal

The Sacramento Kings agreed to a three-year deal with guard Garrett Temple, a league source told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

It will reportedly be worth $24 million with a player option in the third year, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.

Temple played five games for the Kings during the 2009-10 season after signing a 10-day contract in March.

He spent the 2015-16 campaign competing for the Washington Wizards, averaging 7.3 points on 39.8 percent shooting, along with 2.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.9 steals in 80 appearances, including 43 starts.

Sacramento reportedly doesn't intend to re-sign Rajon Rondo, and are willing to roll with Darren Collison as the starting point guard, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge. Without a true backup, the Kings seemingly turned their attention to Temple, although he's more of a scoring guard and defender rather than a facilitator.
