The Houston Rockets have agreed to a four-year, $53-million contract with free-agent shooting guard Eric Gordon, according to sources of The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The money in the deal is fully guaranteed, with no options for either side, The Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.

Gordon represents the Rockets' second significant free-agent signing Saturday after they agreed to a four-year, $80-million deal with power forward Ryan Anderson. Both players come from the New Orleans Pelicans, and both come with extensive injury histories. The two have combined to miss 173 games the last three seasons. Gordon, for his part, hasn't topped the 64-game mark since his rookie season in 2008-09.

The pair also adds a significant influx of shooting, which is why the Rockets signed them. Before undergoing season-ending finger surgery, Gordon averaged 15.2 points and 2.7 assists while canning 38.4 percent of his 3-point attempts in 2015-16. A season prior, he hit 44.8 percent of his threes. For all his flaws, Gordon can flat-out fill it up from distance, which should endear him to new Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni.

Given his positional overlap with James Harden, it'll be interesting to see if the Rockets choose to bring him off the bench or slide him to point guard. Playing him and Harden together would likely yield a ton of points, both ways.

The Rockets reportedly outbid both the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies for Gordon.
