Magic's Evan Fournier: Agrees to five-year deal with Magic

Fournier agreed Friday to re-sign with the Magic on a five-year, $85 million contract, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Few free agents boosted their market value as much as Fournier this past season, as he parlayed a hot start to the campaign into averages of 15.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.2 steals in 32.5 minutes per game. The Frenchman also achieved his production in an efficient manner, shooting 46.2 percent from the floor and 40 percent from three-point range and 83.6 percent from the charity stripe. The 23-year-old should remain the Magic's top threat from distance during the upcoming season, but the additions of Serge Ibaka and Jeff Green could mean that Fournier will see less primacy in the team's offensive attack.
