Report: Bulls met with Rajon Rondo

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls met with unrestricted free agent Rajon Rondo on Friday, ESPN's Marc Stein reports, citing league sources.

Earlier reports indicated the Sacramento Kings were not interested in re-signing the 30-year-old, so it appears likely that he'll find a new home within the coming days.

The Bulls are in need of a starting point guard after trading Derrick Rose to New York last month, so adding Rondo would make sense for Chicago.

In 72 games, Rondo averaged 11.9 points, 11.7 assists, and six rebounds on 45.4 percent shooting.
