Dwyane Wade's contract impasse with the Miami Heat may be more than leverage posturing by his representatives.

Executives from rival teams will speak with Wade on Friday with the belief he is considering leaving Miami, according to sources of The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Some teams have made multi-year offers to Wade, reports Wojnarowski.

Wade signed a one-year deal worth $20 million last summer after several years of taking so-called hometown discounts from Heat management. Earlier Friday, reports surfaced that Miami had re-signed center Hassan Whiteside to a four-year, $98-million contract - something which Wade congratulated on Twitter.

According to previous reports, the Mavericks and Spurs had been contacted by Wade's agent. The aging superstar will turn 35 in January.
