Raptors' DeMar DeRozan: Will remain with Raptors

DeRozan agreed Friday to re-sign with the Raptors on a five-year, $139 million contract, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

The signing won't become official until at least July 7, but after averaging a career-high 23.5 points per game last season, DeRozan is in line for a well-deserved hefty payday. The Raptors are also coming off the best season in franchise history, so keeping their All-Star backcourt of DeRozan and Kyle Lowry intact was general manager Masai Ujiri's top priority this offseason.
