The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a one-year contract extension with general manager John Hammond, league sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal apparently specifies he'll move into a consultant role for Milwaukee in 2018. That will allow the franchise to hand things over to former Utah Jazz assistant GM Justin Zanik, whom the Bucks recently hired as assistant general manager and reportedly their "GM-in-waiting."

Hammond has been with the franchise since 2008, and even took home Executive of the Year honors in 2009-10 after the team won 12 more games than the season prior.
