Carlos Boozer planning NBA comeback

Rejoice, fans who like to hear "and-1!"

Carlos Boozer is working on a return to the NBA, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Boozer's been working out in Miami, but he doesn't think his time off has made him rusty. In fact, he thinks it's helped.

"I have been working out hard all year, and I miss the game," the big man said. "I want to play again."

The 34-year-old retired last year after 13 NBA seasons. He last played with the Los Angeles Lakers, recording 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game over 71 contests during the 2014-15 campaign.

Now, the two-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist is looking to serve as a mentor on a young team.

"I think I can help some younger guys. I've played against Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan and picked up a lot of things that can be helpful to young guys. I really like the opportunity of having a role on a team where I can give back on the knowledge that I've gained through the years," he added.
