Report: Heat looking to move McRoberts

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat are looking to find a suitor for veteran power forward Josh McRoberts, Ethan Skolnick of the Miami Herald reports.

McRoberts joined the Heat on a four-year, $20-million deal in 2014, but has only played in 59 of a possible 164 regular season games due to injury.

When healthy, McRoberts profiles as a playmaking power forward who can facilitate the offense through the high post and stretch the floor with a semi-reliable jumper.

However, injuries rendered him a part-time player last season as he averaged a measly 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game while shooting 37.2 percent from the field.

Skolnick adds that the Heat might need to attach a pick to McRoberts in order to shed his contract.

The 29-year-old has two guaranteed seasons left on his current deal, totaling $11.8 million.
