Bulls, Rondo agree to 2-year, $28M deal

The Chicago Bulls agreed to a two-year, $28-million deal with Rajon Rondo on Sunday, with the second year reportedly partially guaranteed.
"I'm excited," Rondo told Spears. "Great organization with pieces around me that I'm excited about."
Chicago was in need of a starting point guard after trading Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks last month.
Rondo put up decent counting stats this past season, averaging 11.9 points, 11.7 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals. However, the Kings were a superior team when the 30-year-old sat, performing 1.2 points per 100 possessions better with Rondo on the bench.
Rondo marks Chicago's first major signing of the offseason.
