Pau Gasol is once again heading West.

The San Antonio Spurs and the veteran big man are finalizing a two-year contract worth in excess of $30 million, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. The second year of the deal will reportedly be a player option, allowing Gasol to test free agency again when the salary cap jumps further in 2017.

Gasol, who also mulled offers from the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers, could be joining a Spurs team facing life without Tim Duncan for the first time in two decades, as the San Antonio legend is reportedly leaning towards retirement.

Age has certainly slowed the 35-year-old Gasol on the defensive end, but the 15-year veteran remains a capable and dependable force on the offensive end and on the glass.

Gasol averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and two blocks while starting 72 games for the Chicago Bulls in 2015-16, earning his sixth career All-Star selection.
