July 1st is going to be quite the busy day for veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who's set to begin free agency by chatting with five different teams.

The reigning Sixth Man of the Year will talk to the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat on Friday, sources told The Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner.

The two organizations which appear to be the favorites to either re-sign or bring him aboard are the Clippers and Knicks.

Crawford has spent the past four seasons suiting up for the Clippers, averaging 16.2 points on 41.4 percent shooting while coming off the bench. He's expressed his desire to come to terms on a new contract with the franchise, but won't deprive himself of listening to other offers.

"My preference is to re-sign with the Clippers," Crawford told Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy. "But I understand that, at the end of the day, I'm a free agent so I have to look at everything. I have to take every call and consider every offer that comes to me and my agent. I have to, that's just a part of being a free agent. Like I said, my preference is to re-sign with the Clippers. But we have to take every single call that comes in. That's the way it is."

There also appears to be mutual interest from both Crawford and the Knicks in regards to a return to The Big Apple. The 16-year-pro played at Madison Square Garden from 2004-2008, averaging 17.6 points, 4.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 299 appearances.
