Warriors' Patrick McCaw: Agrees to two-year deal

McCaw agreed to a two-year contract with the Warriors on Friday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

The 6-foot-7 McCaw was selected No. 38 overall in the draft after making a name for himself as a defender, guarding point guards, wings and power forwards during his time at UNLV. The 20-year-old averaged 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game last season, ranking sixth in Division 1 in that latter category. The Warriors believe that McCaw can be a useful asset off the bench for his defense and three-point shooting, but he may struggle to pick up playing time in 2016-17.
