The two-time MVP is seizing control of his personal brand.

Stephen Curry applied for trademarks on four name-related phrases, according to Darren Heitner of Forbes.com.

Those four are "Steph Curry," "Stephen Curry," "Chef Curry," and "Curry."

The application goes to great lengths to protect Curry's image. It ruled out things like erasers, crayons, snorkels, mittens, among the hundreds of other trivial items.

Heitner notes, however, that Curry failed to accompany the applications with a written note of consent.
