Ben Simmons got a little carried away following the excitement of being named as the No. 1 pick in Thursday's draft.

The 20-year-old Aussie FaceTimed his mentor LeBron James after the hearing his name called, and as Simmons revealed on the Dan Patrick Show, the rookie phenom was quickly humbled after talking a little smack to the Chosen One.

Simmons told James that he couldn't wait to match up against him, to which James flipped his phone around and showed the youngster the Larry O'Brien trophy that he just won to snap a 52-year title drought in Cleveland.

"I couldn't say anything back," Simmons admitted.
