Rose: I want Joakim Noah in New York

Derrick Rose hasn't been a member of the New York Knicks for even a week, and he's already working to recruit free agents to the Big Apple.

The former-MVP stated in his Knicks' introductory press conference that he's hoping at least one of his former teammates joins him in New York this summer.

"I want him," Rose said when asked about New York's recruitment of Joakim Noah. "He knows that. I think his family knows that. I think everyone knows that."

Reports surfaced earlier this week that the Knicks were interested in making a run at Noah, which is not surprising given New York's need for a starting center.

If they do go after him, they will certainly have their fair share of competition. Minnesota Timberwolves head coach and president Tom Thibodeau is hoping to be reunited with his former center, while the Washington Wizards are reportedly prepared to offer him a max-level deal. Chicago also considers re-signing Noah a "high priority."
