Bucks' Thon Maker: Selected No. 10 overall by Bucks

Maker was selected by the Bucks with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Analysis:

Maker wasn't expected to be taken this high for much of the pre-draft process, but the Bucks apparently found it hard to pass up on the athletic 7-foot-1 center with a 7-foot-3 wingspan. Born in South Sudan before matriculating to the United States as a teenager, the 19-year-old Maker never actually played in college or abroad. Rather, he reclassified to the high school class of 2015 while living in Ontario, Canada, ultimately making him eligible for the 2016 draft. Maker's lack of competition relative to the other draftees poses some concern, and he'll likely need a couple years of development before he makes an impact at the NBA level. The Bucks are hoping the draft's resident mystery man can exhibit a swift learning curve.
