Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Selected No.7 overall by Nuggets

Murray was selected by the Nuggets with the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Analysis:

Murray is one of the top scorers in the draft, as he sports an excellent jumper and can stroke the three-point ball. In addition, Murray also possesses a nice touch around the rim, showing the ability to score in a variety of ways. The question with Murray comes with his position. Many NBA teams prior to the draft indicated a desire to develop him into a point guard, but Murray isn't a well-known distributor, as he's usually more focused on creating his own shot. With Emmanuel Mudiay locked in as the Nuggets' starting point guard, it appears that Murray's quickest way into making an impact in the NBA will come at shooting guard. However, there are questions about his defensive capabilities at the NBA level, too, so that could ultimately dictate his playing time once the regular season rolls around.
