Suns' Eric Bledsoe: Plans to be at full strength for training camp

Bledsoe (knee) has begun participating in basketball activities and plans to be back to 100 percent health for the start of training camp in the fall, NBA.com's Tyler Emerick reports.

Analysis:

Bledsoe's 2015-16 season came to an end after he suffered a torn left meniscus on Dec. 26 that required surgery, but he began rehabbing the injury a few months afterward and has continued to make incremental progress in his recovery in the months that followed. The point guard has already gone through this rigorous process before, having previously tore his right meniscus in 2011 before ultimately having it removed in 2014. The knee problems make Bledsoe more of a health risk than most other point guards, but if he endures no further setbacks throughout the summer, he should reemerge as one of the league's more athletic players at his position entering the coming season. He was on his way to career-best numbers before getting shut down, posting averages of 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 2.0 steals in 31 games.
