Report: Suns' Bogdanovic will remain overseas next season

The Phoenix Suns will have to wait at least another year before their 2014 first-round pick makes his NBA debut.

Bogdan Bogdanovic will remain with Turkish ball club Fenerbahce for the upcoming season, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports. The Suns were reportedly interested in signing Bogdanovic this summer, but wanted his decision prior to Thursday's draft.

Phoenix will retain Bogdanovic's rights going forward, but the 23-year-old will no longer be tied to the rookie contract scale, meaning he will likely command a much larger contract should he choose to come over next summer.

Bogdanovic averaged 11.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 37 percent from three for Fenerbahce this season.
