Warriors' Stephen Curry: Struggles in Sunday's Game 7 loss to Cavaliers

Curry managed 17 points (6-19 FG, 4-14 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 39 minutes during the Warriors' 93-89 loss to the Cavaliers in Sunday's Game 7.

Analysis:

Curry started the game hot from downtown, but fizzled down the stretch and recorded under 20 points for the fourth time in the series. In addition, Curry committed four turnovers Sunday, and finished the NBA Finals with more turnovers per game (4.3) than assists (3.7). After a historic regular season, the back-to-back MVP saw his numbers drop across the board in the postseason, and particularly in the series against the Cavs. It's entirely possible that Curry hasn't been 100 percent healthy since returning from the knee injury that he suffered during the first round of the playoffs, but he made no excuses and denied notions of offseason surgery. Expect Curry and the Warriors to come back hungry in 2016-17 with hopes of recapturing the crown.
