Klay: It's a failed season if we lose Game 7

Seventy-three wins or not, the Golden State Warriors' 2015-16 campaign will almost certainly be judged on their ability to win a championship, not an abundance of regular-season wins.

Klay Thompson reiterated this point Thursday following the Warriors' Game 6 defeat, stating the team's recording-breaking season will be meaningless should they fail to take home the title.

"We expected to win the NBA championship coming into the season. It's either win the whole thing or bust for us," Thompson told reporters following Game 6. "I mean, it's no fun getting second place. So it would be a great season, but at the same time to us, the players, we're so competitive, we'd feel like we failed."

After taking a commanding 3-1 series lead, the Warriors have stumbled of late, allowing the Cavaliers to even things up and force a Game 7.

While Thompson was willing to give the Cavaliers credit for clawing back, he remains confident about the Warriors chances Sunday.

"I mean, one game, winner takes all in Oakland. I like our position we're in. But can't discredit what Cleveland does. They're here for a reason, man."
