Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Won't require surgery, likely done for Finals

Bogut (knee) won't require surgery on his sprained left knee, but isn't expected to return for the rest of the NBA Finals, David Aldridge of TNT reports.

Analysis:

The Warriors have yet to offer much in the way of an update on the extent of Bogut's left knee sprain, but based on the results of his MRI, the team already seems to have ruled out the big man for the rest of the season. Bogut made the trip to Cleveland with the team in advance of Thursday's Game 6, though it'll likely be Festus Ezeli and Anderson Varejao seeing the bulk of the minutes at center when the Warriors veer away from their "Death Lineup," featuring Draymond Green at the five. Considering that Bogut will avoid surgery, the expectation is that he'll be ready for the start of next season without much issue. ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports Bogut's recovery timetable is somewhere between six and eight weeks.
