The New Orleans Pelicans have selected Oklahoma's Buddy Hield with the sixth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The 22-year-old guard might be the best shooter and one of the best scorers in the draft, having averaged 25 points per game on a 50-46-88 shooting line in his senior season with the Sooners.

The concerns with Hield begin with his undersized 6-foot-5, 212-pound frame, and his assumed lack of upside at 22-years-old. In addition, he's considered somewhat of a one-dimensional, spot-up scorer, as there remain questions about his ability to put the ball on the floor at the next level and his overall athleticism.

Hield will bring some much-needed outside shooting to a Pelicans team that ranked 13th in the league with 8.6 makes from beyond the arc per game. The Bahamian-born gunner should fit perfectly with star power forward Anthony Davis, who is one of the top passers at his position in the league.

With sharpshooter Eric Gordon an unrestricted free agent, Hield could slide right into his spot as the first guard off the bench.
