Hawks select Isaia Cordinier with No. 44 pick

The Atlanta Hawks selected French guard Isaia Cordinier with the No. 44 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Cordinier is an enthralling prospect and a perfect draft and stash option. His handles have slowly improved over time, and he's shown potential as a slasher who can turn on the burners to get down the floor or to the basket. His shot, while imperfect, is still reliable enough even at this stage of his development.

Remaining overseas would be best for him during this phase of his playing career, as he's nowhere near ready to contribute to an NBA squad. Cordinier is very inexperienced and prone to making poor decisions on the defensive end, which, factored in with his thin frame, will make it tough for him to contain opposing guards.
