Grizzlies' Mike Conley: Back to full health

Conley (Achilles) said Tuesday that he's completely healthy and hopes to play for the United States team in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Ronald Tillery of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Analysis:

Conley missed the final month of the regular season and the Grizzlies' first-round playoff series loss to the Spurs with tendinitis in his left Achilles, but after taking the last three months to recuperate, it looks like he's finally healed. While Conley remains one of 26 players remaining on the United States' preliminary roster, he may need at least two of John Wall, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving to withdraw from the competition if he hopes to crack the final 12-man roster. If Conley does get the call to Rio, it would mark an especially busy summer for him, as he's set to become an unrestricted free agent in July and should attract interest from several suitors.
