Pistons select Michael Gbinije 49th overall

The Detroit Pistons selected Syracuse's Michael Gbinije with the 49th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

At 6-foot-7, Gbinije has good size for either wing position and could develop into a solid defender with his length and athleticism. A knockdown shooter and willing passer, Gbinije possesses the offensive tools necessary to excel at the pro level.

At 24 years old, Gbinije has limited upside, but is also one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the draft.

While a solid jump shooter, Gbinije struggles from the line and must work to develop his free-throw shooting going forward.
