Spurs select Dejounte Murray with No. 29 pick

The San Antonio Spurs selected Washington's Dejounte Murray with the 29th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Arizona State head coach Bobby Hurley texted The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday and told him that "Dejounte Muray has All-Star potential."

The 6-foot-5 combo guard has great length and is an explosive athlete who can score multiple ways. He averaged 16.1 points, six rebounds, and 4.4 assists during his freshman year with the Huskies, but shot just 28 percent from 3-point range.

Murray will need to add some weight to his 170-pound frame, and he's turnover prone, averaging 3.2 per game this season.

The last time the Spurs owned a No. 29 pick, they selected point guard Cory Joseph out of the University of Texas at Austin.
