Report: Markieff Morris won't be charged in marijuana possession incident

Brad Mills / USA TODAY Sports

Washington Wizards power forward Markieff Morris will not be charged for the May 26 incident in which he was detained at Philadelphia International Airport for "suspected marijuana" possession, CSN's John Gonzalez reports.

Morris was held up after airport officials found a "suspicious item" in his suitcase as he passed through security on his way to an international flight.

The contents of said item were evidently confirmed to be marijuana, as Gonzalez reports that a friend of Morris' confessed to - and is being charged with - possession of 3.95 ounces.

Morris, along with his twin brother Marcus, is also the subject of an ongoing assault case, stemming from an incident in January of 2015 - when the brothers both played for the Suns - in which they allegedly attacked a former acquaintance of theirs outside a Phoenix gym.
