The Denver Nuggets have selected Florida State shooting guard Malik Beasley with the No. 19 selection of the 2016 NBA Draft.

Beasley joins Jamal Murray and Juan Hernangomez as the third of Denver's three first-round draft picks entering the night.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Beasley, averaged 15.6 points per game in his lone season in Tallahassee, shooting over 47 percent from the floor and just under 39 percent from deep. His presence on the perimeter should benefit a Nuggets team which ranked 25th in the NBA last season in 3-point shooting at 33.8 percent.

There are questions about Beasley's discipline on defense, but the selection could pay off from the standpoint of athleticism and a pure shooting perspective.
