A disappointing debut season in Arizona hasn't deterred Tyson Chandler from wanting to remain with the Phoenix Suns.

"I'm happy where I am," Chandler said Thursday. "I feel like the Suns have a bright future if we continue to build and build the right way. It's all about building the right way."

Chandler struggled to live up to his large contract after signing a four-year, $52-million deal last summer, averaging just 7.2 points and a career-low 0.7 blocks in 2015-16. The Suns didn't fair much better, finishing 14th in the Western Conference with a 23-59 record.

While the 33-year-old has stated his preference is to stay in Phoenix, Chandler also reiterated his willingness to win, and noted that he may change his tune should the Suns continue to commit to a rebuild.

"Me and management have a great relationship and we communicate," he said on ESPN's "The Jump." "If there is a decision and they want to go young and stay young, then we'll have that conversation. The culture has to be right, but I'm not there yet."

A fully healthy squad and the right moves this offseason could put an end to Chandler's uncertainty.
