Marc Gasol's participation with the Spanish team in this summer's Olympics is in doubt. The Memphis Grizzlies center, who fractured his right foot and underwent season-ending surgery in February, says he still cannot run.

"It's difficult, I'm not going to lie," Gasol told Diario AS's Manuel de la Torre, and translated by theScore's Carlo Campo. "It's very different. There's less than one month left until (Olympic) training camp and I'm still not running. That's how it is."

Gasol has been logically named to Spain's preliminary Olympic roster, but it is not known if he will be ready to play this summer. His older brother Pau was also named, but he said last week that the presence of the Zika virus in Brazil may cause him to skip the Games.

Spain has finished second at the last two Olympics, taking home silver both times behind the United States. The Gasol brothers were crucial parts of those squads.
