LeBron vows to approach Game 6 like elimination game

The Cleveland Cavaliers sit firmly in the driver's seat with a 3-2 series lead in the Eastern Conference finals, but they don't want to take any chances.

Having already dropped two games in their last trip to the North, LeBron James vowed that the Cavaliers would treat Game 6 like an elimination game.

"This is our Game 7, that's how we're gonna approach it," James told reporters Friday morning.

Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue made a similar proclamation on Thursday when he implored James to set the tone early in Game 6.

"This is our Game 7," Lue added. "We've been working the whole year to get to this point."

Cleveland, however, has been wholly unsuccessful at Air Canada Centre this season. All four games have been competitive, but they're 0-4 in Toronto owing mostly to some of the best games of Kyle Lowry's career.

The Raptors have performed like an entirely different team on their home floor in this series. They beat the Cavaliers by a combined 21 points at home, but dropped their three games in Cleveland by 88 points.

That being said, the Cavaliers are definitely the more talented team, and if they play to their potential, the series should end Friday night. But the Raptors have proven to be a resilient bunch on their home floor and they've already won two elimination games during this playoff run.

And should Toronto force a Game 7, all the pressure would be on James and the Cavaliers to stay alive.
