Kerr thought Curry looked '91 percent' healthy in Game 5

In the wake of two decidedly uncharacteristic performances in Oklahoma City, much was made of Steph Curry's health, or lack thereof.

Curry seemed to have more trouble than usual turning the corner against bigger defenders, struggled to finish around the rim, and generally looked like a shell of his two-time reigning MVP self. Many speculated that Curry wasn't recovered from the MCL sprain he suffered in the first round against the Houston Rockets, with a source close to Curry telling The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski that Curry was playing at "70 percent, at best."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was quick to downplay that injury chatter, and after Curry rebounded with a 31-point, seven-rebound, six-assist, five-steal night to help the Warriors stave off elimination in Game 5, Kerr was asked how he thought his superstar point guard looked.

"I thought he looked, like, 91 percent," Kerr answered wryly.

"It's just talk," he said of the injury concern. "There's always gonna be speculation, but it's just talk. He's gonna compete every night. I thought he had an excellent night, and helped us get it done."

The Warriors are, of course, far from out of the woods. They're still on the brink of elimination, needing a win Saturday at Chesapeake Energy Arena - where they've been outscored by 52 points in two games in the series - to force a Game 7.
