Cavaliers' J.R. Smith: Scores 22 in Game 3 loss

Smith scored 22 points (7-16 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding five rebounds and a steal in 37 minutes during Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Raptors.

Analysis:

Other than LeBron James and occasionally Channing Frye, Smith was the only Cavalier who seemed able to get off his shot against an aggressive Raptors defense. It's the third time this postseason that he's come away with 10 or more attempts from three-point range and 20 or more points, but he's also scored in single digits five times in 11 games, which highlights just how inconsistent Smith's output can be. If the Raptors do a good job protecting the paint once again in Game 4 on Monday, Smith will likely be one of the bigger beneficiaries.
