The Brooklyn Nets are looking to goose an offense that finished 27th in the NBA in points per possession this season, but given the limited means they have of upgrading their roster in the near term, they've had to find other avenues.

The Nets are hiring former Oklahoma City Thunder shooting coach Adam Harrington, who also formerly served as Kevin Durant's personal trainer, TNT's David Aldridge reports.

Among his contributions to Durant's development, Harrington helped him hone the one-legged fadeaway made famous by Dirk Nowitzki, according to Aldridge.

Harrington was also teammates with Nowitzki on the Dallas Mavericks for 13 games during his lone NBA season in 2002-03.
