Agent: 'Zero indication' Noah doesn't want to return to Bulls
Joakim Noah's days in Chicago are over? Not so fast, says his agent.
A report emerged Wednesday stating Noah told teammates he planned to leave the Bulls when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Noah's agent, Bill Duffy, however, said the longtime Bulls center hasn't ruled out a return to the Windy City.
"Joakim and I speak on (a) daily (basis) about his future. There has been zero indication he doesn't wish to return to (the) Bulls," Duffy told K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
"Joakim has great respect for the city, the fans, and the organization," Duffy added.
Since being selected ninth overall in 2007, Noah has been the backbone of Chicago's frontline and a vocal leader. In nine seasons, he's earned two All-Star appearances, a first-team All-NBA spot, and was named the Defensive Player of the Year for 2013-14.
Injuries, however, have undercut the 31-year-old's production in recent seasons. Noah only made 29 appearances this season around battles with a nagging shoulder issue that ultimately required surgery.
Bulls management still considers re-signing Noah a high priority, according to reports.
