Raptors' Jonas Valanciunas: Participates in drills Thursday, remains without timetable

Valanciunas (ankle) was able to participate in some on-court drills Thursday, but he remains without a timetable for a return, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

Analysis:

Valanciunas ended up sitting out Thursday's Game 2 loss to the Cavaliers due to the sprained ankle, marking the sixth consecutive game he's missed. The center recently stated that he's only about 50 percent recovered from the injury, making his chances of playing in Sunday's Game 3 fairly remote. Coach Dwane Casey told reporters after the Game 2 loss that the Raptors would continue to evaluate Valanciunas, but there's still a strong possibility he'll be out for the remainder of the series, especially if the Cavaliers wrap things up early. Bismack Biyombo and Patrick Patterson will likely shoulder most of the minutes up front until further notice.
