Stephen Curry may be the two-time reigning NBA MVP, but he hasn't been the best point guard in the Western Conference finals.

That honor - for now - belongs to Russell Westbrook, and after Westbrook laughed off a question about Curry's underrated defense following Golden State's Game 5 win, Kevin Durant chimed in with an assessment of his own.

"I like our matchup with him guarding Russ," Durant said of Curry, affirming his confidence in Westbrook as the superior perimeter player.

Durant also mentioned that Curry doesn't defend the game's best point guards, a job reserved for Curry's more defensively capable Splash Brother, Klay Thompson.

Through five games of the West final, Westbrook is averaging 28 points, 11 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and four steals, with his Thunder heading home to Oklahoma City holding a 3-2 series lead.

Curry, meanwhile, is averaging 25.6 points, 4.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 steals.

Game 6 goes Saturday night.
