Pacers' McMillan likens Turner to Aldridge

After watching the rookie's coming-out party during this year's postseason, newly named Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan has high expectations for 19-year-old Myles Turner.

"Myles is very similar to LaMarcus Aldridge," McMillan told reporters on Monday. "That kid's work habits are amazing, he puts in his time. I think he will one day be an All-Star in this league. I just get excited with his growth. I thought he and Paul (George) during the playoffs went to another level."

Standing at 6-foot-11, Turner has the height and athleticism to play either power forward or center under McMillan. However, given the potential matchup problem he could cause with his shooting ability, McMillan fully expects Turner to play the majority of his minutes at center.

"I feel although his best position is the five, but he showed his ability to work and try to play the four. You have that ability if you want to go big, similar to what San Antonio was doing with LaMarcus and Tim (Duncan)."

McMillan is no stranger to Aldridge's game, having coached the current Spur during the first six seasons of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers.
