Watch: Flip Saunders' amazing reaction to winning '15 draft lottery

The fortunes of an NBA franchise can change with a little luck at the draft lottery.

It was one year ago Tuesday that the Minnesota Timberwolves were awarded the No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft - a selection they would use to land future NBA Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns.

The late Flip Saunders was in the Timberwolves war room when he learned his club had won the draft lottery last year, and his reaction was of sheer joy.

Saunders passed away from cancer in October, though he will still play a major role in this year's draft lottery, as Towns will represent the Timberwolves while wearing his former coach's wedding ring around his neck for good luck.

The draft lottery takes place Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, where Minnesota has a 8.8-percent chance of landing the top pick.
